The TTCF generates creative, simple, easy-win ideas that helps to drive footfall to the town centre, improve customer experience, and enhance the lives of local residents and the built environment in Tamworth.

1. LATE NIGHT OPENING
There has been a desire to explore late night opening in Tamworth for many years. The TTCF enabled a trial evening in July 2024, and retailers reported significant success both in terms of increased footfall, heightened revenue and also better brand awareness.
​
The trial was so well supported that, going forward, TTCF hopes to co-ordinate additional opportunities for late night trading. These work best when run in conjunction with other activities through the town, so TTCF seeks to spearhead an integrated approach to events run by other key stakeholders, to maximise impact.

2. GOLOCAL is a simple concept designed to encourage Tamworth residents to choose goods, services and experiences that are close to home and directly support their local community. This grass-roots campaign was designed by Forum members and includes a marketing strategy of:

EATLOCAL
Encouraging consumers to sample some of Tamworth's wonderful restaurants including casual and fine dining, pop ups, market street food and special catering.
SHOPLOCAL
Empowering customers to support local shops, business and market stalls to encourage mutual flourishing, helping to bring employment and investment to Tamworth, as well as build B2C relationships and enhance community cohesion.

GIVELOCAL
Enabling people to see the different their contributions make to local people by supporting local good causes and charities rather than larger national agencies that already receive significant funding elsewhere.
